For a chilly January morning that was spent wandering a artisan food fair, I chose to go with a maroon theme for my outfit. I wanted something that would keep my warm, but would still give off a bit of girlish charm so I immediately pulled out this deliciously warm swingy sweater with elbow patches from J.Crew factory. I always find such cute pieces on that site and usually at such a good price. I paired the maroon sweater with this comfy pair of mulled wine tights to keep my legs warm against the morning cold. I wanted a bright skirt to round out the outfit so I pulled out this flared skirt from Goodnight Macaroon. I seriously wear this skirt all the time, it’s such a versatile piece. It pairs with so many of my outfits. Since I knew I was going to be walking around quite a bit, I wanted a pair of shoes that wouldn’t hurt my feet and a purse that would hurt my shoulder. I picked a pair of Ellemenno booties that I’ve worn since college and are still just as comfortable as any pair of flats. I paired the whole outfit with my favorite purse of the moment, the Kate Spade Mini Maise in black. Seriously, it is one of the best little purses for a quick outing.
I love the Mini Maise! I just can’t seem to stop pulling it out every time I make a weekend excursion.
