When I left San Francisco on a early Thursday morning, the forecast said it was going to be a warm and sunny 75 degrees later that day. Instead, I was dressed for winter in warm boots and a slouchy sweater. I was headed to the airport to catch a flight to visit Michigan and my boyfriend’s family. The weather in Michigan was going to be way chillier than I was currently used to so I knew I needed to come prepared (hence the boots and sweater). For my first full day in Michigan, we decided to venture to an apple orchard to go apple picking, as well as get lost in their corn maze, ride a hayride and get dangerously close to a large llama. I had never been to an apple orchard before and was over the moon excited. I thought really hard about the perfect apple picking outfit for my all day midwest excursion.
I decided on my comfiest pair of Gap 1969 Stretch Legging Jeans. The added stretch in these jeans is crucial for those up and down kind of days where you are constantly sitting, standing, bending, squatting, etc. I also picked out my favorite J.Crew button down of the moment in red, white and navy blue plaid (another somewhat similar favorite button down of mine). It paired perfectly with my J.Crew Navy Blue puffer vest and Hunter Wellies. Knowing so much of your body heat escapes through your head, I decided it was smart to grab a hat to keep in the heat and chose this Forever 21 cream colored beanie hat that I bought last winter!
I was totally prepared for any kind of terrain in my Hunter Packable bright red wellies and Hunter Fleece socks in cream.
Puffer Vests are a perfect layer to throw on in the chillier months.
I absolutely love the design and feel of these beanie hats from Forever 21. They were so inexpensive that I bought one in every color!
